I've been writing Educational Email Courses for years.
After lots of trial and error, they've ended up as the gateway to millions in revenue for my clients and students.
The benefit of creating one for your business is that it turns social media followers & website visitors into email subscribers—many of whom later become your customers.
Now if thinking about “writing a course” feels like a lot of pressure, let me ease your mind. You’re not writing “a course.” You’re just writing a bunch of blog posts in a specific order. Today, I’ll show you how—and you’ll get the prompt library that handles the heavy lifting for you.
Ready?
Here's my 3-Step Blueprint for any successful Educational Email Course:
Step 1: Choose Your Course Type & Create Your Outline
Before you write a single word, you need to pick the right framework.
I've tested dozens of approaches, and five consistently outperform everything else.
The Crash Course teaches everything about one topic in five days. Think "Complete Guide to Cold Emailing" or "CSS Fundamentals in One Week." This works when your audience wants comprehensive knowledge fast.
The Step-By-Step walks readers through a complete process from start to finish. "How to Launch Your First Product in 5 Days" is a perfect example. Use this when there's a clear sequence people need to follow.
The Problems & Benefits addresses specific pain points and reveals solutions. "5 Copywriting Problems Killing Your Conversions" hooks people because it promises to fix what's already broken.
The Biggest Mistakes reveals common errors and shows how to avoid them. "5 LinkedIn Mistakes Costing You Clients" works because everyone's terrified of screwing up without knowing it.
The Easy Templates gives readers plug-and-play frameworks they can use immediately. "5 Email Templates That Convert Like Crazy" delivers instant value with zero thinking required.

Once you pick your type, create a simple five-day outline.
Day 1 introduces your main concept.
Days 2-4 build on that foundation.
Day 5 delivers your most advanced insight.
That's your blueprint.
Step 2: Expand Each Main Point Into Sub-Points
This is where most people mess up.
They jump straight into writing and get stuck staring at a blank page. Instead, go through your outline and get all the thinking out of the way first. Expand each main point into detailed sub-points, like you're jotting notes to yourself before giving a presentation.
I use what I call the "10 Magical Ways" to expand any idea:
Tips
Stats
Steps
Lessons
Benefits
Reasons
Mistakes
Examples
Questions
Personal Stories
These Sub-Points create the scaffolding for your writing.
You don't need all ten—just rotate through different combinations until each main point has 3-5 solid sub-points.
For example, if Day 2 is "How To Write A Magnetic Headline To Hook Your Reader," you might expand it like this:
Tip: Use numbers because they increase clicks by 73%.
Mistake: Being clever instead of clear.
Example: Compare "5 Ways" versus "Revolutionary Methods."
Step: Write three headlines before you hit publish.
Story: Your worst headline that got only 12 views.
These sub-points become the scaffolding for your writing.
When you create an outline before you write, you’ll never start from scratch.
And all you have to do is just connect all the dots you've already mapped out.

Step 3: Turn Your Outline Into Email
Now it’s time to bring it all together.
You have your 5-Day EEC Outline
You have your Main Points & Sub-Points bulleted out
Now all you have to do is turn your bulleted lists into prose!
Here’s how:
Every email needs five essential pieces.
Subject Line
Introduction
Main Points
Conclusion
CTA
Follow this structure in every email you write.
You hook them with the subject line, welcome them with a friendly intro, teach them something valuable, then leave them wanting more.
Your Educational Email Course will practically write itself when you follow this three-step blueprint.
That’s it.
