Hey there,
If you've ever read an article and thought, "This post is great. I want to share it, but I don’t know what to add to make it relevant for my readers?", today’s Pick & Go prompt is for you.
Most people quit when they hit a wall (and instead settle for easy curation).
Copy a headline.
Paste a link into LinkedIn or X.
Hit send, wipe their hands clean, and move on.
This might work.
But...
Curating content is more than pointing to a link and saying, “Hey, look what I found!”
It’s like showing up to a potluck with a bag of chips—sure, it’s food, but no one’s impressed.
You’ve got to add some flavor.
With a link, maybe you save your reader a little time and introduce them to a new idea, but your taste only goes so far. What your audience really wants is to hear your perspective. They want to know why you think it’s great for them.
So, whether you want to share a podcast, distill a long article, or remix the best X thread you’ve seen in months, don’t just serve the chips—be the chef. Give your audience the why, the how, and your take on what makes it valuable.
