Ahoy, Digital Writers!

Think you need a massive following to get newsletter sign-ups?

Not true.

The reality is, even with a small audience, you could be engaging more people and getting more of your current readers to read.

  • Everyone is not subscribed to your newsletter.

  • And you probably don’t have a 100% open rate either.

Which is why every time you publish a newsletter, a long-form article, or even launch a new product, you don’t want to ship it and forget it—you want to promote it!

So, today we are going to use ChatGPT to turn your newsletter into a promotional social post that attracts readers, grows your influence, and let's not kid ourselves, makes you more money.

And no, you won't come off as spammy.

But first…

Are You Leaving Newsletter Subs On The Table?

Your newsletter is like a party invitation.

People come to parties for various reasons: to have fun, to network, and to be seen. And when you promote your newsletter on social it should be like an irresistible invitation that appeals to your audience's deepest desires.

Here’s the thing:

If you're not promoting (inviting) people to your work, who will?

Always promote your newsletter on social.

The *Right* Way To Promote Your Newsletter

If you want some to acquire a newsletter subscriber from social, you want to avoid things like:

  • “Check out my newsletter”

  • “Here’s a great post that everyone should read.”

  • Or worse, just the link and zero context (It’s not 2015).

This is a bad invitation.

Because if you don’t give people a reason to click thru, read, and subscribe—they will ignore you. And they will see you as “spammy.” It’s like telling someone, “Come to my party!,” without giving them any other details like the time, the reason, the attire, the guest list, etc.

Offering value compels people to read further.

Instead, you want to hook the reader with a big benefit, call attention to their desirable outcome, and agitate their problem while teasing the solution (reading your newsletter).

This is what drives readers to get curious and click!
