Bio Writing With AI: How To Train ChatGPT To Optimize Your Twitter Profile
This is how you plant your flag on the internet.
Ahoy, Digital Writers!
Today we want to help you rewrite your Twitter bio.
“Bio” writing is both an art and a science. There are a million different ways to present yourself online. But if you want to stand out from the crowd of similar accounts, stop the scroll, and get more followers, there are a few things you need to nail.
The problem is most beginning writers are afraid to own where they are today—instead of picking a niche and steering their ship forward.
The great news is your Digital Intern can help!
Let’s dive in!
But first—why is your Twitter bio so important?
Your bio is a "mini sales pitch" to your readers.
"This is who I am"
"This is what I do"
"This is what you can expect to hear about from me"
“And this is why you can trust me”
When your bio answers all 4 of these for the reader, they are exponentially more likely to follow you and take the time to explore your library of content.
If the reader doesn’t know they’re in the right place when they scan your bio—they’re not going to give you there attention!

(Sorry, Tom.)
Think about it.
How many times have you seen a bio that lists everything a person does, but leaves out what they write about? “CEO @companyname, Board Member @companyname, Investor @companyname, etc.” Credible, but I don’t know what’s in it for me! Or what about the people who are just “sharing what they learn” or are “Sassy, classy, and bad-assy?”
Who are they? No clue.
What do they do? No idea.
What can you expect from them? Who knows.
These are giant mistakes.
You can always change what you write about and tweak your bio. Everyone does it. Even prolific writers and creators change their bios as they progress and decide they want to write about different things.
We change ours too!
It's not a marriage decision.
Now that you know what NOT to do, you can train your Digital Intern what to do!
5 types of Twitter bios that force readers to make a choice (and improve the odds they will follow you).
Let’s take a look at a few of the best examples of different Twitter bios we've come across.
Below, you'll find a few examples of credible, compelling Twitter Bios to give you a sense of what you should be aiming for. These should give you some inspiration.
1. The Outcome Bio
This bio makes a bold promise to the reader. “Follow me and my advice, and I guarantee you’ll get your first $50K” Just make sure you can deliver!
2. The Aspirational Brand Bio
Justin Welsh is the model for this bio. “The Diversified Solopreneur” Justin is on a journey to creating a $5M solopreneur business. People follow him because they “aspire” to be like him.
3. The Credible Category Bio
This bio leans less heavily on credibility in a specific category. Cole calls out his target audience with a clear point of view. If you want to learn from a top ghostwriter (and you are freelancer), Cole is an obvious follow.
4. The Credible Talker Bio
This bio is designed specifically for people who want to "learn." And "Formerly @blackrock trader turned digital builder" is a sign of credibility. It's saying: "I used to work for one of the largest financial institutions. Now, I work for myself." That's someone worth following!
5. The Specialist Bio
If you have hyper-specific skill that you can help someone else acquire, this is the bio for you. Name your skill and name your credibility. It’s simple and clear.
Boom!
